Jim couldn’t walk more than a block because his back pain was so debilitating. He chose to try Teeter Hang Ups as a natural form of relief before having the surgical procedure suggested by his surgeon. We loved how Jim relates his experience of how a friends suggestion helped him find relief while avoiding a costly and risky surgery.

We recommend adding inversion into your daily routine. Many users invert an average of 2 times per day (morning and evening). Some use it more often – after going to the gym, during a break at work or to relax when they get home to help relieve tired and achy muscles and joints. The beauty of inversion is that it addresses the “quiet side of fitness,” which is to say that it doesn’t require a lot of energy to receive a lot of benefit. Teeter inversion tables make it easy to jump on and invert for just a few minutes, whenever you feel the need to stretch and gain a boost of energy.
Rule #1 – Get comfortable by wearing comfortable clothes and shoes. Remember: you will be placing your feet in the locking mechanism while you are inverting so be sure that you wear shoes you will be comfortable in while hanging upside down.
Rule #2 – Once you are inverted, listen to your body. If you don’t feel relaxed or are at all uncomfortable, then reduce your angle/duration of inversion.
Rule #3 – When using your inversion table for the first time, have a spotter who can help you return upright if needed while you fine-tune your optimal settings to achieve the perfect balance and control.
Rule #4 – Don’t do too much, too soon. You will be more comfortable and gain the most benefits if you gradually increase the angle and duration over time. Full inversion may be uncomfortable and unsatisfying early on until you’ve had a chance to become accustomed to the feeling and allow your body to adjust.
One of the most common questions we all have when we start our inversion routine is: how long should I invert?
And the answer is easy. First time inverters should start inverting in 1-2 minute sessions for 1 or 2 weeks. It will take time for your body to adjust and for you to feel comfortable inverting for a longer period of time.
Once you feel you are becoming accustomed to being inverted, gradually increase your time until you can invert for 3-5 minutes each session. Even though there isn’t necessarily a time limit to inversion, remember to listen to your body – it’s important for you to relax and enjoy the experience. If you feel you’ve had enough, whether that’s two minutes or 30 seconds, then you should slowly return upright.
SGT Nancy Fredrick suffered from back pain after a car incident. Desperate for relief, she found Teeter Hang Ups. Once a skeptic, SGT Fredrick found relief in only three days after inverting and sent us this letter:
My name is SGT Frederick, Nancy and I am in the United States Army. I just want to write about my testimony with the teeter hang up.
In January 2012, I was involved in a car accident where I was rear ended and my car was sandwiched between the car that rear ended me and the one that it pushed me behind. My first reaction was to get out and help the elderly man that hit me from the back. I had so much adrenaline going through my body that I never once worried about myself. It was the cop on the scene that had to talk to me and tell me to have a sit in his car and call my parents. When I arrived at my house, I collapsed for my body was now calm. I was rushed to the hospital, where I was given medication for muscle spasms in my back. I didn’t think anything of it, until I was driving from South Carolina to Fort Campbell, KY which was to be me new duty station. I was uncomfortable for the entire duration of the ride and just attributed it to just a long drive. I arrived at Fort Campbell and immediately sought medical attention as advised by the doctor who looked at me before I left.
During this stage of the military, draw back of the troops was now setting in, and if you sustained an injury that prohibited you from fulfilling your military requirements, you would be brought before the medical evaluation board to be processed out. I was given a choice, either I heal on my own time or get kicked out. I decided to heal on my own.
I decided to heal on my own from 2012 to 2014. I cried almost every night due to the pain in my back. I was always nervous and couldn’t explain why. I deployed to the Middle East wearing my gear that weighed over 45lbs and more when I carried my bags. I am 5’10 and 1/2 and 137 pounds. I was in constant pain. I just kept it to myself and the ones close to me. I knew that I couldn’t go back to what we call “sick call” because they would start my process to get out.
For two years I was in pain. One day it got so bad that i cried to my God-father over the phone and said that I couldn’t take it anymore. I told him the pain wakes me up at night, and I don’t know which way to turn. I tried heating pads, bengay, tiger balm, the jacuzzi, soaking in epsom salt, different stretches and nothing worked at all.
He was frantic and started looking around, and came up with the teeter hang up. Already on the brink of pain, I didn’t have any motivation at all, especially to spend $300.00 on something that I had no trust in to help me with my pain. That night I set it up with no motivation. For I was about to use it and send it right back. That night, I reluctantly hung upside down and was sulking for I felt nothing.
On the third day, I realized that could sit it certain positions that I couldn’t in almost two years. Also I wasn’t nervous anymore. I called my God-father whose name is Bishop Stafford Fisher and immediately started crying. I told him it worked! He started to laugh and said that he knew it would have because of the various testimonies that he had seen. We also came to a conclusive reasoning for my nervousness. I may have had a pinched nerve all that time.
To Mr. Roger Teeter, I say thank you for your device.
I say thank you for making my life in the military easier mentally and physically.
I say thank you, for now I can lead the future Soldiers of the United States in even more confidence…. I salute you!
Experiencing consistent back pain can make anyone skeptical that a product can relieve their back pain without surgery. But trust us that these people are glad that they set aside their skepticism and tried our Teeter Inversion Tables. See how Teeter Hang Ups has helped turn these skeptics into converts.
I injured my back over 9 months ago but due to my heavy travel schedule for work I have had to live with the pain. It got so bad that just standing from a sitting position took time and caused severe pain. Sitting for any amount of time almost brought tears to my eyes… My father-in-law told me to try the Teeter Hang Ups inversion table he had bought. I was very skeptical but, desperate. Within ONE week of just a couple of times a day I had a significant reduction in the pain in my back. It has been three weeks now and for the first time in 9 months I am pain free! You have made a true believer out of me and I now suggest this table to all of my friends! THANK YOU for making a product that has literally given me my life back!!!

As an absolute skeptic about miracle stuff on TV I did not buy in without the lower cost “give it a try” $19 or $29 approach. [Teeter] has enhanced my physical existence more than I had a right to expect. I had an auto accident in ’94, had wise medical friends that directed me away from surgery, but left me at a dwindling physical ability. I’m a 68 year old lawyer who feared I would soon need to quit. Your ‘Hang ups’ has given me a new view of the rest of my career. An average of 6-10 uses per week, each like a visit to a spa, each 3 minutes long, and I am not only much improved, I have a new optimism about my physical life generally.

I just wanted to drop a line to thank you so much for such a great product. I had problems almost 2 years ago with a ruptured disk in my lower back and it caused horrible pains in my back and leg from pushing on the sciatic nerve. I did cortizone shots and then epidural shots and it did help for a while. The doctor said if I came back I would have to undergo the surgery to have it fixed.
I have been using [Teeter for months] and I must say it’s the best thing I have found for my back. All those recurring pains are gone!

I was having severe problems with my back. A trip to the Dr. and an MRI revealed I had severe calcium deposits (from arthritis) built up around my sciatic nerve. I was really depressed when my orthopedic Dr. was recommending I see a spinal surgeon. My wife had seen an article on Inversion Tables and how they can help people with herniated discs and sciatic problems. At first, I didn’t think it helped, however after just 2 weeks use I could walk upright again and [had] very little to no pain. Have been a [Teeter] user for 10 months now and still have no further sciatic problems. I am happy to say I no longer have any pain!

For some, the chilly fall weather doesn’t deter them from getting in their run for the day. While running promotes better health, it can be hard on your back and joints.
One of the first things most of us do to wake ourselves up and get into gear for the day is grab a cup of coffee. The rush of caffeine along with a frantic start can initially jolt you awake but can leave you sluggish the rest of the day, or until you refill that cup of coffee.
The Prince of Darkness may be onto something when he dangles upside down in his castle. Even the undead can benefit from increased blood circulation that can oxygenate the brain and the rest of you body better and feed them with vital nutrients keep your skin looking healthy, your mind agile, and your body more flexible.
