Whats my favorite thing about our products? They allow you to be in control of your health. Im a busy person – a full-time job and a family doesnt leave a lot of time for self pampering, especially when it requires making an appointment. However, I need ways to de-stress, relax, and literally unfold myself after hours in my office chair, so having the inversion table in my home gives me a fast solution to feeling better. I luckily dont have back pain, thanks to years of proactive inversion, but I cant escape compression and stress. Inversion is my daily massage therapist and a perfect opportunity to entice my boy for more kisses!

Bill was so satisfied with the relief he experienced with his [P3 Back Stretcher] that he had to share his story with his friends. After trying the P3, they were hooked as well.
“I have been using the P3 for a few months, 3-4 times a week. I have a Lumbar Vertebrae offset, with an occlusion pinching the nerve. By using the P3, I have been able to keep my back more in line and reduced numbness almost to nothing. Two of my friends at the gym have tried my P3 and bought one for themselves! Thanks for the help!”
Anti-aging is an ever increasing interest of Americans. We all want to stay youthful for a lifetime. I know I have personally invested in tons of things with health (and perhaps a little vanity) as my motivation.
However, we often forget about what really helps us stay young, and that is ACTIVITY. This fact is constantly reinforced by watching my father, who at 73 is more active than I am! He water-skis, snow-skies, bikes for 15-miles and even takes up new sports, like surfing and kite-boarding.
Nothing makes you feel older than being forced to sit out from activities you love. However, we are not given a lot of solutions on how to care for the back and joints. Stretches focus on muscles but only inversion goes deeper and actually targets the joints and discs. Decompression allows joints to hydrate, offering lubrication and nutrition to the soft tissue, as well as strengthens ligaments, reduces nerve pressure, and realigns and relaxes muscles. Don’t wait until you have joint and back pain! Start a healthy inversion routine now and see the pay off as you age.
Mark’s experience with his Teeter inversion table was so life changing that he continues to preach its virtues to family and friends. Sometimes the best salesperson is a satisfied customer!
“I had incredible back pain last year prior to purchasing your product. My friend called me up and invited me to go camping with him. This camp out involved walking about one mile with a backpack just to get to the site. I told him that my back was messed up and that there was NO way that I could go. I had just ordered the inversion table, but did not receive it yet. Well a long story made short. The inversion table arrived on Wednesday. I quickly assembled it (only 15 minutes) and tried it out. I fully inverted and it hurt like heck because my back was so messed up. I would have to sit on a chair afterwards until the back spasms ceased. Well I used the table 3 times on Wed, Thurs, and Friday. The inversion table made such an improvement on my back that I called my friend and said that I would be able to go camping – which I did and was able to easily carry the backpack the full mile with no problems whatsoever! “I am 46 years old and have had back pain since grade school. I have been going to the chiropractor since I was 18. On average I would go to the chiropractor 5-8 times a year. I purchased your product (EP-850) on October 2008 and have not been to the chiropractor since. I use your product about 2-3 times a week. It only takes about 2-3 minutes per session. I do a full inversion which S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-S out my lower back. This is where the majority of my back problems are.
“I can’t thank you enough. I tell everyone about my success. I even loaned my table to a friend for 1 month. He has since purchased an EP-850 as well. I also told my brother-in-law about the great success that I had – he is a commercial pilot. He purchased an EP-950 the same day.
“My only regret is that I wish I would have known about your product about 20 years ago.Thank you so much for having a superior, quality product that has eliminated my back pain entirely. Going forward, I know that this inversion table will be a part of my daily life.
“P.S. I continue to ‘share the good word’ with friends. In fact, our pastor said he has some back pain, so I am going to loan my table to him – I am confidant that he too will have the same results as I have.”
Does your busy schedule force you to workout late in the day? Do you find that late workouts cause more back pain or discomfort than those performed early in the day? Research in exercise science has actually confirmed that you are more vulnerable to suffer a back injury in the evenings and that inversion should be a part of prepping the spine for workouts.
Establishing the facts and hypothesis
A group of researchers in Liverpool performed a study to evaluate the effect of workouts on the loads of the spine. They began by establishing two important factors:
- During exercise, the spine is subjected to a variety of forces, including gravity, changes in motion, and muscle activity, and
- When the discs in the spine are under load, or compressed, water is lost through the disc wall, resulting in loss of disc height and loss of stature.
What they expected was that the amount of spinal shrinkage would be determined by the degree of loads placed on the spine. For their study, they looked at how weight-training and running loaded the spine.
The researchers noted that the spine may be more vulnerable to injury from loading in the evening when it has already lost considerable disc height (a normal effect of daily stature change). They went on to say that,
“Some form of reversing this prior shrinkage may be advisable before such exercise regimes are performed in the evening. These could include…the use of gravity inversion for unloading the spine.”
- During the day, gravity causes your discs to compress, expelling fluid and losing height
- Disc height and fluid provides flexibility and shock absorption for your spine
- Working out causes greater loads on your discs than gravity
- With diminished disc height and hydration from daily natural compression, your spine is not properly “primed” to handle the loads of working out
- Evening workouts, without unloading the spine beforehand to rehydrate the discs, are more likly to result in back pain and/or injury.

The Unwind Company began delivering premium quality, soothing back care and relaxation products back in 1997. What started with just a few relaxation products like foot and head massagers, has grown to more than 40,000 in-stock products. They have helped millions of folks to “Relax & Unwind” and their customer base continues to expand as retirees and others begin to learn and understand the value and long-term impact that back care and stress relief has on our overall health and well-being.
“Since our company mission is to ‘Help People Unwind their Back, Body and Mind,’ Teeter Inversion products are a natural-fit for us. While there are now many choices in inversion therapy products available, from a multitude of manufacturers, we decided recently to focus on Teeter products exclusively. The innovation and quality of their products are always well-received by our customers.” -Toby Shenefelt of The Unwind Company
Tom found Teeter through the same motivation as many other people do: desperation to find relief from back pain. Motocross, sailing, golfing and even shopping with his wife are all things Tom has done without back pain for over 4 years now thanks to trusting his inversion therapy to Teeter.
“I had to respond to this, something I normally do not do. I bought your F5000 about 3 or 4 years ago. That simply has to be one of the best purchases of my life (No, I’m not getting paid to say this.)
“I walked into a Relax the Back store and they had one on display, my back had been killing me for days and I’m looking for relief. I suffered from lower back pain like most people, pinched nerves and/or muscle spasms that REALLY hurt. Anyway, I tell the sales guy that I’m dying and need relief. He puts me on the table and I flip upside down and hang for a couple of minutes, then I hear two pops in my back, I flip back up and the first thing I realize is I have NO PAIN.
“I can’t believe it…I’m so excited I drive home to get my van and came back, picked the thing up that day, and have never looked back. I have not had one repeat of a back injury since then – listen to what I’m saying, NOT ONE REPEAT for three or four years. I used to hang once a day and now it’s down to once a week.
“I’m 54, I ride motocross bikes every Saturday (that will definitely work your back), play golf, race sailboats and the most grueling sport of all SHOPPING with my wife. Any guy will tell you that standing in a store waiting for her to finish is hell on earth. Again, no pain during any of those activities. I have curvature of the spine and lousy posture which all contribute to my previous pain episodes.
“Now I am good to go and loving it. I don’t care who believes me when I tell them the story. I just figure they are missing out…so I continue to spread the word for what it’s worth. In fact, after knowing what I do now and how I feel, I would pay thousands for that feeling and freedom to do what I love which is ride dirt bikes. If this was my business, I would be running door to door to sell the darn thing. Good luck and thanks for saving my life.”

Will all the blood rush to my head?
Well… not ALL, but you will definitely experience an increase in blood flow to the head and feel an increase in pressure. It’s not a bad thing – in fact, getting more blood to the noggin is good for you! Here’s some insight into what’s actually happening in our heads when we hang by our knees off the monkey bars as kids or on our Teeter inversion tables as adults.
Simply put, your body recognizes when it’s upside down and knows how to adjust itself. Accommodating to the shift in blood pressure, the vessels and capillaries within the skull dilate. In turn, the cerebral spinal fluid increases, which helps to support the vessels. It’s a system of compensating pressures, allowing your body to easily handle the change in position.
The health and fitness of our children is a vital concern to all, and Teeter is thrilled to learn that physical educators in the American Heartland are teaching elementary through university students how to properly use our inversion tables and gravity boots.
Iowa Team Fitness (ITF) is a federally-funded statewide physical education initiative directed by the Iowa Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (IAHPERD). Children and youth in the program are learning early that exercising, resting and working in only the common upright, flexed and horizontal postures does not allow gravity to properly mold them into healthy and fully upright adults.
Inversion, hanging from the limbs and extension are equally important, said Dr. Ed Thomas, President of the IAHPERD and Health and Physical Education Consultant to the Iowa Department of Education. Teaching our students to safely and efficiently mobilize in these uncommon postures is critical to their physical development.
Regional ITF training sites at Iowa Wesleyan College and Graceland University are now teaching future physical educators the theory and practical application of training in the uncommon postures. First they learn to use and teach others a variety of skills with Teeter’s inversion tables, and then they master more challenging drills with our Gravity Boots.
Summer camps help prepare Iowa high school students to teach inversion table progressions to younger children, and a recent partnership with the Iowa Army National Guard and McDonald’s Corporation brought a team of boys and young men from four states together to become fitness leaders.
Inverted decompression and mobilization is an integral part of Iowa Team Fitness physical training, said Thomas. We owe our children and youth the best possible physical education, and they consistently respond well to a higher training bar.
Some of these exercises should only be done with proper
